The Search for a Stone Prologue

Title: The Search for a Stone

Characters: Two OC's; Vector and Vexel, as well as The Hacker, Buzz, Delete, the Cybersquad, and other canon characters.

Summary: The Hacker receives a surprise and apparently unwanted visit from a mysterious figure in a dark cloak, who claims to want to help him in achieving world domination. After a short talk, the two form a partnership and Hacker springs a brand-new plan into action! With the help of two new friends, Motherboard sends the Cybersquad to an odd Cybersite named Edeania to find out what this new plan of Hacker's is. However, somebody is hiding amongst the Cybersquad, someone with malicious intentions.... but who?

"What do you two dunce buckets want?!"

Hacker flipped around in his seat and glared daggers into the eyes of his two henchmen, his personal robots, Buzz and Delete, who flinched at the sudden annoyance.

The taller one, Delete, was the first to speak up, "uhm, boss, there's someone outside.... they say they wanna talk to you... uhm, that they want--"

"Not interested!" Hacker leaned back in his seat and flipped back around, grumbling as he went back to the  pile of parts in front of him.

"But boss!" The shorter, stubbier one, Buzz, spoke up next, "they say they came from Edeania and have a plan to help you overthrow Motherboard!"

"Hah! Nobody's going to overthrow Motherboard except me!" The tyrant snarled in reply, flipping back around, "now leave me be while I work on my newest invention!"

"Are you sure about that, Hacker?"

The three figures whipped upright when they heard the monotonous, even voice, only to find it belonged to a figure, the height of a child from the Real World, standing in the doorway, covered by a thick, baggy, dark brown cloak with a hood covering their head to the point where only their glowing green eyes were showing. Hacker could see that the figure's nose was elongated and covered by a pure black bandanna.

"Who are you?! How dare you enter my ship!" The tyrant barked, "Buzz, Delete, drag it out of here!"

The henchmen nodded and made a quick dive to the cloaked figure, who held it's hands up-- the sleeves fell and revealed tiger-like claws that threatened to dent their armour plating, startling them momentarily and negating their previous demand--  and spoke up, expression poker-faced despite the cloak and bandanna, "wait, I mere have information you may find interesting."

Seeing as how his henchmen were startled into submission, the Hacker rose and walked to the figure, narrowing his eyes and getting in the figure's face, "and what may this 'information' happen to be?"

The figure's green eyes didn't change in expression, and it-- Buzz and Delete couldn't tell if  it was a boy or girl through the cloak or the even, neutral voice--blinked, lowering it's hands and letting the heavy sleeves fall again, "are you familiar with the Onyrix Stone?" (--The figure pronounced it as 'Oh-knee-rix')

The Hacker backed his face away and  placed a hand under his chin, turning away in thought, "it sounds familiar... it is said to charge any type of electric being and triple it's capabilities, though I have never found it myself," he turned to the figure, "why is it that you ask me of this?"

"Motherboard once tried to use it to rid herself of the virus you infected her with," the figure replied, "fortunately, she did not succeed, as the Stone wasn't powerful enough to do the job or even help her regain some of her abilities. However, I have a theory."

The Hacker raised an eyebrow,  and sat down in a chair, now intrigued, "and what is this 'theory'?"

"Rumor has it that Dr. Marbles took your limitless supply of power," the figure took it's hood in it's hands and pulled it down, revealing black ears with a white spot on each ear, what looked like the head of a tiger, a tuft of long fur that stuck out on the figure's forehead, "if you constructed a machine that could harness or even drain the power of that stone and put it in you, you would never need to recharge ever again. Moreso, you could have the power to wipe Motherboard from the face of Cyberspace and those Earthlies-- permanently."

At that, Hacker's expression changed dramatically as he hopped to his feet, the plan going through his head, "why, genius!" He cried, grinning wickedly, "it's positively full-proof! Not even those Earth brats could stop me!" He turned and looked at the figure, "but where would I get this stone?"

Any expression on the figure's face was hidden by the bandanna as he or she spoke up, even it's eyes were unreadable and poker-faced, "I know where to find it, but it won't be easy and I can't do it alone. I need your help. So, Hacker," it extended it's hand for a handshake and looked up at the tyrant, "what do you say?"

"Hm," Hacker looked at the figure in thought, "why do you want the stone so badly? Why should I trust you?"

"I don't like the feeling of  this guy, Dee Dee," Buzz muttered to Delete, elbowing him lightly and got a nod in agreement from an equally insecure Delete.

The figure's ears twitched as it's hand fell back at it's side, "the stone is worthless to me," it stated, "I don't want that, what I want is Motherboard to be overthrown. My homeland is so peaceful, so harmonious.... so boring I need adventure, I need chaos..... I need you, Hacker!"

Hacker let out a maniacal laugh, "How much I agree with you!" He howled as he extended his hand, "alright, partner, we'll need to start drawing up some plans. What's your name?"

Buzz and Delete's jaws hit the floor simultaneously as the figure extended it's hand to grasp Hacker's and shake it.
