Elecman Chestpiece

Finally this annoying bastard is done-- the chestpiece to my Elecman cosplay! Possibly THE single hardest piece to make. x.x Even my boots were easier!

It's not terribly uncomfortable, but a little awkward to wear until you get used to it, and the hole for the head is pretty big so fitting into it is easy. Since it's made out of duct tape (and other scraps, but mostly duct tape) it was extremely stiff, but I stuffed it with duct tape scraps and scrap pieces of paper to both sides to add some weight to it.

As for the details... don't even get me started. =_= It may not seem like much (especially since you can't see those blue markings on the back; [link] ) but I managed to cut my thumb and my pointer finger with a boxcutter trying to get the lightning bolt right and it STILL annoys the hell out of me. >_< But I'm finished screwing with it.

One day, I'll have a better picture and hopefully a good place to shoot it.

Chestpiece made by me, made from duct tape, cotton fabric (This was a piece of a duct tape kimono I was making and gave up on, had a bedsheet as a base) some paper and a bit of plastic as well as packaging tape. (To protect the details)
Time Taken; Roughly 2-2 1/2 months.
